Birthday at a windmill

My hubby organised a nice weekend away for my birthday. The trip was going away to a place called Rutlands and he had booked for us to stay at a windmill.

There seem to be only one windmill in this area from what I can see whilst on the road. You can clearly see the windmill at the bottom of the A47. As soon as we drove into the private road leading to the windmill, there were loads of rabbits hopping around and away from us. It was obvious we were in their territory.
For my birthday dinner, we decide to cook a beef roast and this meal was almost a disaster because I forgot the pack some bistro! My hubby nearly ran out of his mind when he found out. Anyway, the roast was saved when we managed to get the gravy from a very small village shop in Lansdown.
For birthday dessert, my hubby bought a tub of chocolate overload which was unbelievely sweet! It took us two evenings to finish it and over several cups of tea in the process.
During sunset, we both ran out to take pictures of the windmill in the light. The view was magical and relaxing. As part as the photos, I have posted them on my flickr!
Apart from the constant attack of midges, I had a brilliant time!
